Will Kinsella – Irish Techno DJ & Producer

Will Kinsella is an Irish born Techno producer/DJ. His Debut release “Kenny Larkin’s House” featured on Sleaze Records in 2011. The next release was the “Kongo EP” on Sasha Carassi’s “Globox” imprint (Robert Hoods House/Mukishi). Robert Hood’s House climbed the Beatport top 100 Minimal Chart (reaching 33) and the Kongo EP got to 16 in the top 100 Minimal releases.

Dave Clarke has been Will’s strongest advocate on the international stage. The first push came in 2010 with “Monsters Ball”. In 2011 “Kongo” made his ADE Top Ten Techno chart and listed it in his White Noise tracks of 2011. In 2012 he featured “People from Detroit” on White Noise after this mention on Twitter: “Soundclouding @WillKinsella track is so well produced it is louder than all before and is causing my windows distress.”

Will presents Ceoltronic Radio Live every Thursday night from 22-24:00 (GMT) for Irish national broadcaster RTE (Pulse) which is in it’s 7th year of broadcasting. Past guests include Richie Hawtin, Robert Hood, Juan Atkins, Cari Lekebusch, Dave Clarke, Dubfire, Derrick May, Magda, Troy Pierce and Frankie Knuckles. 2013 sees Ceoltronic return to 2FM.

2012 saw the launch the “Apocalypse Now” concept at the Button Factory once a month. Ireland’s first dedicated Big Room Techno night. When charged with coming up with a club night, what better way to party in 2012 than a monthly countdown to the end of the Mayan Calendar? Enter Jeff Mills for the opening night in January which sold out! Radio Slave, The Advent, Cari Lekebusch, Industrialyzer, Sasha Carassi all followed suit. Will also branded and programmed Ireland’s only Techno Festival “Area 51” with Slam, Joel Mull and Gary Beck.

Will has worked as a house engineer in Temple Lane & Grouse Lodge studios where all his tracks get the NEVE VR LEGEND treatment; fusing modern technology with analogue soul. He also founded the DIT DJ Society in 2001 which is now Ireland’s largest and most active college DJ Society.
